Obituary of Margaret M. Arnold

Margaret M. Arnold Margaret M. Arnold, 80, of Peabody, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening in the Salem Hospital. Born in Peabody, on July 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Margaret (Feeney) Arnold, Sr. She was a lifelong resident of the city, and attended Peabody schools. Ms. Arnold had worked as a seasoner for the former A.C. Lawrence Leather Co. in Peabody for 33 years until its closing in 1973. She then worked for GTE Sylvania in Danvers for 14 years before retiring in 1987. She was a communicant at St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody for most of her life, and was involved in the St. John's Ladies Sodality, the Peabody Council on Aging. She is survived by: two sisters, Ruth M. Medugno of Everett and Jane L. Federico of Middleton; two brothers, Thomas J. Arnold and John J. Arnold, both of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Marion Arnold Cronin, James J. Arnold, Jr., and Edward ARnold. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 8 AM from the Cahill-Brodeur facility at 20 Church St., Peabody, of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in ST. John's Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 6 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in ST. Mary's Cemetery, Salem
