Obituary of Richard A. Cole
Richard A. Cole, 48, of Peabody , died unexpectedly Friday
in Wilmington, MA after taking an ill turn at work.
He was born in Peabody, Ma on August 9, 1956, the son of Arthur W. and Elinor F. (Morgan) Cole and had resided here most of his life. He was a graduate of Essex Agricultural High School in Middleton in 1975.
He was first employed at the General Electric plant in Wilmington that later changed to Ametek Corp and had been a Quality Control Inspector there for the past 26 years. He had been the secretary/treasurer of the GE Diemax Club for many years.
He was also a member of the Bethlehem Lodge of Masons of Lynn and the Shriners of Wilmington. He enjoyed traveling.
Surviving him besides his parents of Peabody are 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Arthur Cole of Hampton, NH, Charles Chuck and Mary Cole and David Cole all of Peabody, a sister and brother-in-law, Judith and Jim Murphy of Zolfo Springs, FL and 10 nieces and nephews, Chelsea, Deena, Leah, Chaz, Kerri, Ashley, Jessica, Christi, Tracy and Artie Cole and many loving friends. He was a close friend of the late Manny Santos. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway,Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. A Funeral Service will be held there on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Expressions of sympathy made be made to the charity of your choice.
