Obituary of Corinne M. (Soulard) McDonald
Peabody, November 30, 2002. Corinne M. (Soulard) McDonald, 86, of Peabody,
died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon at Beverly Hospital, following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late James J. McDonald with whom she shared over 46 years of marriage
Born in Roxbury, she was the daughter of the late Joseph O.and Anna Marie (Paquette) Soulard. She was raised in Malden and attended the French Everett Grammar school. During WWII, she lived with her husband, a Captain in the United States Army, and was stationed in San Francisco, CA., and San Antonio Tx., before moving back to Malden where she raised her family and has spent the last 15 years living in Peabody.
Prior to her retirement 20 years ago, she worked as a keypunch operator and later did data processing at Harper and Shuman Company in Cambridge. She enjoyed playing the piano, slot machine gambling, Polka Dancing, BallRoom Dancing, doing the Rumba, and traveling. She was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Malden and was a communicant of St. John’ s Church in Peabody.
She is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, James J. and Cherry McDonald, of London, England, and Paul McDonald of Brookline; 4 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Lorraine and Bill Spataro of Concord, NH, Jeanne McDonald of Peabody, Joy and Phil Mohr of Reading, and Gayle McDonald-Sinclair of Peabody; a brother and sister-in-law, Oscar and Renee Soulard of Attleboro; 3 sisters, Germaine Sherman of Melrose, Louise Hart of Stoneham, and Helen Joyce of Wakefield. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert, Paul, and Arthur Soulard.
Her Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
