Obituary of Maura (Sullivan) Ryan

Maura (Sullivan) Ryan, 52, of Lynn, MA, died peacefully Tuesday surrounded by her family at her side at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a long illness. She was the loving wife of 24 years to David M. Ryan. She was born in Lynn, MA on December 9, 1957, the daughter of the late John and Barbara (Moran) Sullivan and was raised and resided in Swampscott graduating from Swampscott High School in 1975. She had resided in Lynn for the past 24 years. She had attended North Shore Community College taking courses in Early Education. Maura had been a customer service representative for many years at the Swampscott Insurance Company of Swampscott. She had been active in the Shoemaker School Parents Group in Lynn and earlier had taught CCD classes at Our Lady of Assumption Church. Surviving her besides her husband are her two children, Tricia Ryan, 17, a senior at Lynn Classical High School and David M. Ryan 111, age 12, a student at the 7th grade at the Pickering School, Lynn, her sister, Joanne Sullivan of Lynn, her devoted aunts, uncles and cousins, her mother-in-law, Marilyn Moriarty of Peabody and a host of loving friends. A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 1, 2010 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Mass on Christian Burial in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Grove St., Lynnfield at 10:00 AM.
