Obituary of Ruth I. (O'Leary) Frasca

Ruth I. (O’Leary) Frasca PEABODY—Ruth I. (O’Leary) Frasca, beloved wife of the late Rosario Frasca, died Tuesday December 29, 2009 in Peabody following a brief illness. Born in Lynnfield, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Mary F. (Griffin) O’Leary. A lifelong resident of Peabody, she graduated from Peabody High School before attending Burdette College. Mrs. Frasca was employed as a Legal Secretary for many years. Ruth was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in South Peabody since its inception. She and her late husband Rosey loved to travel. She delighted in family visits, especially with her dear sister Frances. Her hobbies included gardening, knitting, and reading. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Ruth predeceased her cherished brother Leo O’Leary of Peabody by one day. She leaves behind a sister, Frances Howard of Beverly, a brother Edward O’Leary of Peabody, a sister-in-law Eileen O’Leary of Peabody. She was predeceased by three sisters, Mildred O’Leary, Margaret O’Leary, and Winifred Deschene; she is survived by eight nieces & nephews, Dr. Edward J. O’Leary of Peabody, Jean Deschene of Salem, Kathleen O’Leary of Peabody, Robert O’Leary of Rowley, Richard O’Leary of Hampstead, NH, Debra Hancock of Andover, Nancy Lafond of Derry, NH, and Janice Ouellette of Peabody, and many grandnieces & grandnephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude’s Shrine, 512 West Saratoga St., Baltimore, MD 21201.
