Obituary of Lucia "Lucy" (Thibault) Lord

Lucia “Lucy” (Thibault) Lord, 87, of Danvers and formerly of Salem, died Tuesday evening at the Rosewood Nursing Center in Peabody after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Victor Lord. She was born in Salem, Ma on June 18, 1922, the daughter of the late Ernest P. and Lucia (Belanger) Thibault and was raised and resided there most of her life. She moved to Swampscott in 1997 for 12 years before moving to Danvers last year. Lucy loved decorating and had a deft eye in colors and putting them to use. She also liked her flower garden and enjoyed entertaining at her home. She was a very compassionate person who liked to help others and enjoyed the pleasure of their company. She had been a communicant of St. Anne Church in Salem for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Clifford of Peabody, a son David Lord of Danvers, a son-in-law, Michael Clifford of Middleton, her two grandchildren, Kelly Clifford Watrous and her husband Christopher and Gregory Clifford all of Middleton, two great grandchildren Catherine and Chase Watrous both of Middleton and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9:00AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody at 10:00 AM.
