Obituary of Judith E. (McCarthy) Daly

Judith Daly, 68, of Peabody, died Tuesday morning at her home following a brief illness. She was the long time companion of Dave Dabrieo of Peabody for the past 33 years. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred (Nangle) McCarthy. She was raised and educated in Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School. Judith worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for several companies on the North Shore before retiring 3 years ago. She enjoyed traveling with Dave and spending time in the garden. Judith is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Paul V. Daly and his wife Eliza, and Joseph and Catherine Daly, all of Danvers, a daughter, Jennifer Daly of Peabody, 2 brothers, John McCarthy and his wife Helen of CA, and James and his wife Louise McCarthy of NY, her sister, Mary Perry of Peabody and is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Billy, Callahan, Kevin, Trevor, Brian, Zachary, and Ava, and by several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
