Obituary of Margaret A. (Bowes) DeGiso

Margaret A. (Bowes) DeGiso, 95, of Peabody, died Tuesday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur “Sam” DeGiso. Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Ward) Bowes. She was raised in the Somerville/Malden area and was a 1932 graduate of St. Clement High School and was Vice President of her class. She has lived in Peabody for the past 50 years. She enjoyed reading, cooking, talking politics and listening to big band music, and watching soap operas. Margaret was a family oriented person who knew her limitations and her love, devotion and her kindness will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by a son, Lawrence Dee of Peabody, two daughters, Patricia Cameron of Beverly and Claudia and her husband Larry Meaney of North Reading, her siblings Clement and Dorothy Bowes, both of Salem and George Bowes of Fl., six grandchildren, Richard Cameron, with whom she lived with, Brian, John, and Mark Meaney, Karen Bonneau and Cathy Aldrich. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend
