Obituary of Jennie F. (Paciulan) Pietraszek

Jennie F. (Paciulan) Pietraszek, 83, of Peabody, died Wednesday evening at the NSMC- Salem Hospital after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late John J. Pietraszek. She was born in Lowell on February 26, 1926, the daughter of the late William and Kazimera (Katazyna) Paciulan and was raised there and later in Lynn where she was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. She had resided in Peabody for over 55 years. She had been employed in the Peabody School System cafeteria department for 20 years prior to her retirement. Jennie was an active member of the former St. Joseph’s Church in Peabody and had been a member of the St. Joseph Ladies Guild and the United Polish Organization. She took great pride in her cooking, her crocheting and her gardening around the house. She had been a loyal “Red Sox” Fan and enjoyed nurturing her family and seeing them grow. She is survived by a son, John M. Pietraszek of Peabody, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Juliane Pietraszek of Peabody, Frances and her husband Stephen Pourinski of Lynn and Andrea and her husband Francis D’Aloisio of Georgetown, a brother and sister-in-law, Alexander and Eleanora Paciulan of Newburyport, her four cherished grandchildren, Andrew Pourinski and his wife Laura of New Jersey, Jenna Pourinski , Jeremy and Joseph D’Aloisio all of Georgetown and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph, Vincent, Stanley and Michael Paciulan. A Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody/Salem line at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
