Obituary of Anne B. (Flannery) Joiner

Anne B. (Flannery) Joiner, 85 of Rowley and formerly of Wenham and Beverly, died Monday evening at the Sea View Retreat in Rowley following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Donald Joiner. Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Cox) Flannery. She was raised and educated in Beverly and a graduate of Beverly High School. Upon her marriage to her husband, Donald, she moved to Wenham where she had lived for many years. She has lived in Rowley for the past 8 years. Anne enjoyed raising her family and when her children were grown she worked part time jobs and her most memorable was working at Daniel Low’s in Salem as a sales clerk. She also enjoyed cross stitching and doing crossword puzzles, but her greatest enjoyment was the time she spent with her grandchildren. Anne is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Shawn Nestor of Rowley and by her four loving grandchildren, Melissa and Jennifer Miraglia and Briana and Anna Nestor. She was the mother of the late Cheryl Miraglia and sister of John, William and Teresa Flannery. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at the First Congregational Church, Main Street, Rowley to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A private burial will be held at Wenham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Sea View Retreat, 50 Mansion Dr., Rowley, MA 01969 or the First Congregational Church, P.O. Box 364, Rowley, MA 01969.
