Obituary of Arthur J. Sudak
Arthur J. Sudak, 80, of Beverly, MA, died Tuesday afternoon at the Beverly Hospital. He was the husband of Priscilla (Dow) Sudak with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.
He was born in Peabody on January 31, 1929, the son of the late Sawa and Olga (Romanowitz) Sudak and was raised there graduating from Peabody High School in 1946. He later graduated from Franklin Institute in Boston. He had resided in Beverly for the past 48 years. Arthur had served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard for 40 years prior to his retirement in 1988 as a Battalion Motor Sergeant. He had been a member of the Ancient and Honorable Second Corps Cadets of Salem. He enjoyed going both fresh water and salt water fishing on the lakes, ponds and shores of the North Shore. He also liked playing Keno, watching Football and collecting different coins. Arthur had been a member of the Union Club of Beverly.
Surviving him besides his wife Priscilla are his seven children, Arthur and his wife Judith Sudak, Nicholas and his wife Ellyn Sudak, Marcia Sudak, Catherine Hunt, Lisa and her husband Peter Koutrakis and Nina Sudak all of Beverly and Peter Sudak of Danvers, a brother, Frank Sudak of Mechanicsburg, PA his ten cherished grandchildren, Anthony, Michael and Christopher Sudak, Alison Hunt, Steven Koutrakis, Daniel, Helen and Patrick Amore and Madelyn and Emma Sudak all of Beverly and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Beverly at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers.
