Obituary of John J. Arnold

Peabody, December 2, 2002. John J. Jack Arnold, 72, of Putnam St., Peabody, died Monday morning at his home following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Priscilla Cindy (Cross) Arnold. Born and raised in Peabody, he was the son of the late James J. and Margaret (Feeney) Arnold. He was a lifelong resident of Peabody and attended Peabody Public Schools and was a graduate of Peabody High School. Prior to his retirement 15 years ago, he had worked as a meat cutter for the First National Grocery Store in Peabody for over 35 years. He also was a communicant of St. John’ s Church in Peabody and enjoyed playing cards. He is survived by a brother, Thomas J. Arnold of Peabody; 2 sisters, Jane L. Federico of Middleton and Ruth M. Medugno of Everett; 14 nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James J. Arnold Jr., Edward J. Arnold, Marion Cronin, and Margaret Arnold. His funeral service will be held on Friday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 9:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
