Obituary of Lois F. (LaRocco) Guido
Surrounded by her family, Lois F. (LaRocco) Guido, 75, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lois was the wife and best friend of the late Al Guido and had resided in Peabody for the past 40 years.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time in her kitchen cooking for her family and friends; nothing pleased her more than watching people fill up on their second or third helping of her outstanding meatballs and pasta. The pride of her life was her four grandchildren and she loved hearing about all their activities and accomplishments.
Lois is survived by her children, daughter Lois and her fiancé Edward Buchanan of Everett, son Al and his wife Patti of Middleton, and son Mark and his wife Shelly of Peabody. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Stephanie, Katie, Nick, and Andrew. She is also survived by her sister Carole Guffanti, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Anthony and Mary Guido, and sister-in-law, Doris Ciufo, all of New York. In addition to her family, Lois was blessed with the most wonderful neighbors anyone could hope for and many close friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM, with a prayer service during the 6:00 PM hour at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
