Obituary of Deborah (Kucker) Phillips

Deborah (Kucker) Phillips PEABODY—Deborah (Kucker) Phillips, 56, wife of the late Mark Phillips, died peacefully Sunday morning at the Lowell Healthcare Center following a long illness. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Virginia (Elwell) Kucker. She lived in Peabody for many years and graduated from Peabody High School. Deborah enjoyed her nurturing role as a mother. She liked the beach, riding on motorcycles, and listening to music. Her favorite artist was Neil Diamond. Although she was affected with health issues through her life, she will be remembered and admired for using the strength she had to be the best mother she could be. She is survived by: four daughters, Dawn Phillips of Newton, NH, Melanie Phillips Nestor of Canton, Katie Phillips and Tricia Phillips both of Rowley; eight grandchildren, Beau, Jasmine, MacKenzie, Kayla, Nathan, Caleb, and Charlotte; a sister, Brenda Kawczynski; two brothers, Stephen Kucker and Donald Kucker; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her husband Mark and parents, by a brother Lenny Kucker and sisters Donna Steen and Janice Ellis. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a visitation on Wednesday from 11:30 to 1 PM, followed by a Funeral Ceremony at 1 PM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
