Obituary of Daniel R. Campbell

Daniel R. Campbell PEABODY—Daniel R. Campbell, 68, beloved husband of Joyce (Manley) Campbell, died peacefully Tuesday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Lynn, he was the son of Edward C. and Laura I. (May) Campbell. He grew up in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force, and served in the Vietnam War. When he returned home, he went to work at the General Electrics Riverworks Plant in Lynn. He was in management as a computer operator for over 24 years of service, and retired in 1992. Daniel enjoyed spending time at home and with his family and friends. He was a communicant of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Lynn, and was involved with the Friday Fixer-uppers who helped in maintenance and upkeep at the church. He is survived by: his wife, Joyce (Manley) Campbell of Peabody, with whom he shared nearly 38 years of marriage; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason & Jennifer Campbell of Peabody; six grandchildren, Madison, Makenzie, and Jared Campbell all of Peabody, and Kassandra Oogles, Brandon and Devyn Campbell all of Germany; one great-granddaughter, Eillisa Oogle of Germany; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph & Phyllis Halliday of Lynn and Stephen & Diane Campbell of North Hampton, NH; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lolly & Charles Czarnecki and Susan & Donald Czarnecki, both of Beverly, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by a son Mark Campbell, and brothers Edward C. Campbell, Jr. and George E. Campbell. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Monday Feb. 15, 2010 at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody from 10 – 11:30 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be on Tuesday at TBA in Oak Grove Cemetery, Peabody with military honors. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
