Obituary of Russell H. Palmer
Russell H. Palmer, of Topsfield and Beverly, passed away on Thursday February 11, 2010 at the age of 93 at the Radius Healthcare in Danvers, after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to the late Shirley A. Palmer who predeceased him on October 1, 2004.
Veteran of World War II, born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 25, 1916. He graduated from Fenn College in Ohio before joining the Army.
Russell lived with his family in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, where he worked for Burroughs Adding Machines. He worked for the Illinois Conference of the United Church of Christ and lived in Park Ridge and Clarendon Hills, IL. In 1970, he moved to West Peabody, to work for the City Missionary Society in Boston. After retirement, he and Shirley moved to Brooksville, Florida before moving back to Beverly to be with his daughters and grandchildren in 1988.
Russell is survived by his two daughters, Sharon Clark and her husband Hank, Diana Krupsky, Steve Krupsky; his five cherished grandchildren, Justin Clark and his wife Kristen (Haibon) Clark, Rachel Clark, Bethany Reardon, Michael Krupsky, and Scott Krupsky; two great grandchildren, Ashley Clark and Bryson Clark. Also surviving him is his sister Jeanne Horn of Ohio; honorary daughter and grandson, Terry Boucher and Denzel Birth; dear friends Dean Porteous of Beverly, and Brian Reardon of Peabody and his constant companion, Nikki Baby.
