Obituary of Marion F. (White) Cataldo

Marion F. (White) Cataldo, of Peabody, wife of Robert M. Cataldo died Monday at the Salem Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Cataldo was born July 20, 1935 in Chelsea daughter of the late Lt. Col. Frank A. White, U.S. Army (Ret.) and Vera N. (Bradford) White. She was raised and educated in Chelsea graduating from St. Rose High School class of 1953. Before marrying and raising her family she had worked as a claims examiner at the Boston Insurance Co. Prior to moving to Peabody 37 years ago she had resided in Revere. She enjoyed doing ceramics and hairdressing. York Beach, ME was her favorite spot for vacationing, she also loved traveling to see different lighthouses. In addition to her husband of 44 years she is survived by a son, Robert M. Cataldo, Jr. of Salem; two daughters and their husbands, Lisa M. & John Powers of Peabody and Judith A. & John J. Tasso of Topsfield; two grandchildren, Ian J. Tasso and Hannah L. Tasso both of Topsfield and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Barbara Kelly and grandmother of the late Nicholas Christopher Powers. Her funeral will be held Friday at 8 a.m. from the Cahill-Brodeur facility at 20 Church St., Peabody (978-531-0472) of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody.
