Obituary of Ralph R. Fabiano

Ralph R. Fabiano, 82, of Peabody, died on Thursday February 25, 2010 following a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Mina H. (Rexach) Fabiano with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Born in Revere on July 27, 1927, he was the son of the late Ralph and Florence (O’Neil) Fabiano. He was raised and educated in Revere and graduated from Revere High School. He went on to serve in the United States Navy during WWII. After returning from the service, he attended Edgewood College in Rhode Island where he earned a degree in retail sales management and human resources. He was a member of St. Adelaide’s Church who served as a Lector for over 20 years. He was a founding member of the St. Adelaide’s Couples Club, serving as its president with his wife for many years, and was a volunteer at the recording for the blind and dyslexic for over 10 years. Surviving him besides his wife are his five children, Ralph Jr. and his wife Susan of Salem, Mina Holland and her husband Larry of Peabody, Mark and his wife Kathy of Pennsylvania, John of Maine, and Elizabeth Burke and her husband Edward of New Hampshire, his sister, Jeanne Fabian and by his 12 grandchildren, Joe Fabiano and Katie Medieros, Christopher and Connor Holland, Norman, Mark J., Nicholas, and Anthony Fabiano, Julia, Ben, Caroline and Michael Burke, four great grandchildren, Jack Fabiano, Colby Medieros, Marissa and Kayla Fabiano, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Donald. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the RFB&D, New England Regional Unit, 2067 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA 02141-1340.
