Obituary of Lillian (Starion) Caproni

Lillian (Starion) Caproni, 89, of Lynnfield, died Wednesday morning at the home of her son in North Reading after a prolonged illness. She was the wife of the late Albert Caproni who died in 1983. She was born in Lynn, Ma on September 3, 1915, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Romanov) Starion, and moved with her parents to Peabody where she was a graduate of Peabody High School. Following her marriage she had resided in Lynnfield for the past 55 years. She was active in the Lynnfield Senior Center for many years making miniature cats for people and received many awards for her voluntary contributions to the community. She enjoyed summers at Great East Lake in Acton, Maine and being with her family. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Albert J. and Karin Caproni of No Reading and Allen Caproni of Lynnfield, 4 grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Jeremy Stinson of Worcester, MA, Kathleen Caproni and her husband Peter del Rosario of New Paltz, NY, Cheryl and Greg Kindrat of Windham, NH and Joseph and Jodi Caproni of Nottingham, NH; three great grandchildren, Maya Caproni-del Rosario, Cole Stinson, and Gregory James Kindrat; and also many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Sam Starion. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
