Obituary of Elizabeth (Dzierzak) Grocki

Elizabeth (Dzierzak) Grocki PEABODY—Elizabeth (Dzierzak) Grocki, 91, beloved wife of the late Joseph Grocki, Jr., died Tuesday evening at the Blueberry Hill Healthcare Facility in Beverly following a long illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Leopold and Catherine (Zabourna) Dzierzak. She was a lifelong resident of the city. Elizabeth was active and supportive with the St. Joseph’s Church Parish in Peabody until it closed, and then was a communicant with St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Peabody & Salem. She enjoyed the quiet pursuit of reading. She is survived by: a son, Dennis Grocki of Peabody; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by her brothers Chester, Michael, and John Dzierzak, and sisters Jennie Malachowski, Anna Zeglinski, Vera Dzierzak, and Genevieve Kapaon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Monday morning at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 – 4 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
