Obituary of Virginia (Campbell) Zimirowski

Virginia (Campbell) Zimirowski, 86, of South Peabody, died Tuesday morning at the Kindred Hospital Boston North Shore following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Walter F. Zimirowski with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Calais, Maine on March 6, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Kathleen (Tracy) Campbell. She was raised and educated in Calais Maine and was a graduate of Calais High School. She has lived in Peabody for the past 53 years. She was an avid card player who enjoyed playing scat and Florida Rummy. She also enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Red Sox and Celtics Fan. Mrs. Zimirowski is survived by a son Terry Zimirowski of Peabody, a daughter and son-in-law, Kaye and Denis Pelley of Williamsburg, VA; four grandchildren, Stephen Knowlton of Amesbury, Tracy Knowlton of Peabody, Cristi-Anna Indeck of Nashua, NH, and T. Christian Zimirowski of New Ipswich, NH; a step granddaughter, Jennifer Bettencourt of Peabody, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Eunice Harriman. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 6:30 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation prior to the service from 4 until 6:30 PM. Burial Thursday morning with graveside services at 10:00 AM in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody
