Obituary of Richard A. "Dick" Perry
. Richard A. “Dick” Perry, 95, of Peabody, died early Monday morning at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Ann (Kurowski) Perry.
Born in Methuen, he was the son of the late Clarence Roy and Maude (Batty) Perry. He was raised and educated in Manchester, NH and has lived in Peabody for the past 52 years.
Dick worked as insurance investigator for Equifax, a company based in Atlanta, Georgia, for over 44 years before finally retiring. He was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, loved doing yard work, and was a philatelist, a stamp collector whose collection dates back to his youth, and was just an all around decent human being.
Dick is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Caren Perry of Peabody, a sister, Jean Turner of Maine, two grandchildren, Casey Lee Perry, who was the “apple of his eyes” and Jason R. Perry of South Carolina.
His Funeral Service was held on Monday with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
