Obituary of Robert J. Moreau

Robert J. Moreau PEABODY—Robert J. Moreau, 77, of Peabody died peacefully, and surrounded by his loving family, on Monday April 12th, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the beloved husband of Cecile R. (Bouchard) Moreau for 53 years. Born on March 5, 1933 he was the son to Henry J. and Mary (Gilligan) Moreau. He was a graduate of Salem High School. During the Korean War he defended his country serving in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. New Jersey. Until his retirement in 1992, he worked as the Manager of Physical Distribution and Transportation at GTE Sylvania for over 38 years. He had a passion for motorcycles, owned a Harley Davidson, and belonged to several different motorcycle clubs. He enjoyed traveling, dining out with his wife, going to the Salem Willows, and he could never pass up a hot dog. His kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. He will be missed dearly and in the hearts of his family and friends forever. He is survived by his wife Cecile of Peabody; his son George and his wife Jennifer of Newburyport; his daughter Janet and her husband Bill Parasco of Sandown, NH; he was preceded in death by his cherished and beloved daughter Patricia Moreau Foshage, and leaves a son-in-law Bill Foshage of Salem. He was the “Papa” to his six grandchildren Krystin, Andrea, Jessica, Deanna, Rebecca, Billy, and his two great grandchildren Kaylee and Kamryn, and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Peabody. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4 – 8 P.M. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, c/o Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
