Obituary of Marie D. Therese (LeBlanc) Turmenne

Marie D. Therese (LeBlanc) Turmenne, 83, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, died Saturday morning at the Annemark Nursing Home in Revere following a lengthy illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Dona L. Turmenne. Born in Leominster, she was the daughter of the late Laurie and Maria Ange (Messier) LeBlanc. She grew up in Orange in her earlier years and then moved to Salem where she was attended Salem Public Schools. She later lived in Lynn and has spent the last 13 years living in Peabody. Marie thoroughly enjoyed being a mother and later a grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Michelle Turmenne of Peabody, a daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Krzysztof Czarnecki of Peabody, a daughter-in-law, Diana Turmenne of Lynn, four sisters, Frances Deveau of Rochester, NH, Jeanette Prezioso of Lynn, Doris Castellanos of Augusta, ME, and Rose Falkowski of Spencer, and is also survived by nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the loving mother of Donald Turmenne and Gloria Zapolski. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday (today) at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. John’s School Scholarship Fund, 19 Chestnut St., Peabody, MA 01960.
