Obituary of Pauline E. (Noyes) Carnes

Pauline E. (Noyes) Carnes, 81, of West Peabody, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon while surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Robert H. Carnes with whom she shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. She was born in Boston, MA on January 7, 1929 the daughter of the late Thomas and Mildred (Taylor) Noyes.. She later lived in Malden graduating from Malden High School in 1948. She had resided in Peabody for the past 50 years . Pauline loved knitting, doing various crafts and was an active member of St. Adelaide’s Church and had been a member of the Couples Club there. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving her besides her husband are her beloved children, Richard Carnes of Charlotte, NC, Kenneth Carnes and his wife Cathy of Groveland, MA, Beverly Muise and her husband Steve of Peabody, MA, Cathleen Mc Devitt and her husband Michael of Middleton, MA, Pamela Peck and her husband Daniel of Peabody, Barry Carnes of Boxford, MA, her thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her eight brothers and sisters. A Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St., West Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St. 5th Floor, Boston MA 02110 in her memory.
