Obituary of Linda M. Faedo
Linda M. Faedo, 82, of Salem, died on Friday, May 14, 2010 at The Lafayette a Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility in Marblehead.
Linda was born in Chiampo, Province of Vicenza, Italy, on February 8, 1928, the daughter of the late Attilio and Gelmina (Danda) Faedo. She was raised and educated in Italy and emigrated to the United States making her home in Peabody before moving to Salem in 1949.
Linda was employed for 18 years as an assembler at GTE Sylvania on Boston St., Salem until her retirement in 1991.
Linda is survived by a sister, Ines Pirrotta of Salem; a brother, Omero Faedo and his wife Agostina of Italy; 2 nieces, Stella Canney and her husband George, and Maryann Pirrotta all of Salem; a nephew, Marco Pirrotta of Beverly; 2 cousins, Bianca Moulton and John Danda both of Danvers, and several other nieces and nephews in Italy, her many friends, including the caring staff at the DaVita Dialysis Center in Salem,. Her brother Bruno Faedo predeceased her on April 27, 2006.
At her request, funeral services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Linda Faedo’s name to The Lafayette Nursing Home - Resident’s Fund, 25 Lafayette St., Marblehead, MA 01945. Arrangements are by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody.
