Obituary of Alton B. Fowler
Alton B. Fowler, 83, of Peabody, died Wednesday at the Peabody Glenn Nursing Home, Peabody after a long illness. He was the husband of
the late Margaret (Jodoin) Fowler who died in 1985.
He was born and raised in Medford, the son of the late Alton B. And Mary (O’ Meara)
Fowler and had resided in Peabody for the past 48 years.
He was a veteran of WW 11 serving in the Merchant Marine Troop movement and had
Been a member of the American Legion Legion Post 331 of Beverly.
He had been a supervisor of Diesel Engines at the N.E. Power Plant in Salem, Ma for
36 years prior to his retirement in 1984.
He is survived by a son, Robert A. Fowler of Peabody, a brother, George Fowler of Malden and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:15 A.M. from the
Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed
By Services at the Family lot in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of your
