Obituary of Helen M. (Jacobucci) Harribine-Fales

Helen M. (Jacobucci) Harribine-Fales PEABODY—Helen M. (Jacobucci) Harribine-Fales, 79, died peacefully early Sunday morning, May 30, 2010 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a brief illness. Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Carmillo and Mary (Juliana) Jacobucci. She grew up there where she attended schools, and graduated from Malden High School. She lived in Peabody for 50 years. She worked at Malden Savings Bank in Malden for a short period of time. She shifted careers to the restaurant service field, and worked at Vallee’s in Saugus for almost seven years. She truly loved working at the Hilltop Steak House on Rte 1 for over 43 years of service, and had some close relationships with customers and co-workers who she touched with her passion of service and spirituality through those years. Helen loved the Red Sox, her family and friends, and lived a life in which she shared her deep sense of spirituality. She enjoyed coin collecting, craft-making, was a history buff and had a great mind for trivia which was useful when watching Jeopardy, one of her favorite shows. She was touched deeply by the late President John F. Kennedy, and was moved by doing service for others in a quiet leadership role. She enjoyed giving of herself to uplift others; and as she touched many with her sense of humor and giving of herself, they will dearly miss her loving ways. She is survived by: two daughters and a son-in-law, Gail & Mario Salvatore and Karen Harribine both of Peabody; she was the former wife of Donald Harribine of Peabody, and continued as a friend; five grandchildren, Melissa & her husband Matt Caracciolo of Stratham, NH, Melanie & her husband Mitchell Gove of Conway, NH, James & his wife Elena Nellson of Peabody, Kristen Trites of Peabody, and Thomas Trites of Salem; five great-grandchildren, Isabella and Harrison Caracciolo of NH, and twins Brynne & Maya and Carys Anne Gove of NH; three sisters, Mary Conte of Lynnfield, Jean Agresti of Billerica, and Angelina Brown of Stoneham, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She also leaves a devoted companion, her cat The Punk. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by her middle daughter Donna Harribine-Trites, and sisters Delina Doucette and Josephine Maloney. Her funeral will be held on Friday June 4, 2010 at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A visitation will be on Thursday from 4 – 8 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 250 Brackett St., Portland, ME 04102, www.rmhportland.org .
