Obituary of Eric Carl Westerberg

Eric Carl Westerberg, 62, of Topsfield, died Saturday at his residence. He was the husband of Donna (Duval) Westerberg R.N. with whom he shared 41 years of marriage. He was born in Hartford, CT. on November 22, 1947, the son of the late Carl and Rosalie (Daley) Westerberg and was raised there. He had been a graduate of Northeastern University in 1969 and later received his Masters in Business Administration at Boston College. Eric had been a special programs Director at the Liberty Mutual Life Ins. Company at the Portsmouth, NH, office for 17 years. He later became active in Landscaping and was working at the Fieldgole Turf Landscapers in Middleton for 6 years. He had been an avid golfer and member of many years at the Thomson Country Club in No Reading, MA. He had won a few tournaments there and also with his brother-in-law, Dr. James Duval at the Brookfield CC in Clarence, New York. He also enjoyed going fresh water fishing. He is survived by his wife, Donna, R.N., a nurse at the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Brighton, a sister, Linea Kaminski of Cincinnati, OH, his brother and sister-in-law, Dr. James and Susan Duval of Williamsville, NY, his mother-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth (O’Shea) Duval of Plattsburgh, NY and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. A Funeral Service will be held there on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
