Obituary of Lucy P. Sousa

Lucy P. (Cunha) Sousa, 77, formerly of Connolly Terrace, died Thursday at the Rosewood Nursing Home, West Peabody after a short Illness. She was born in Peabody on July 30, 1925, the daughter of the late Manuel and Queteira (Perry) Cunha and had resided in Peabody all her life. She had been a stitcher at the New England Sportwear Co. of Peabody for 0ver 20 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She is survived by her faithful friends, Grace Madruga, and Baltazar and Fatima Vieira all of Peabody. She was the wife of the late Armindo Sousa , the mother of the late John Philip Sousa and the sister of the late Joseph and John Perry. Her Funeral will be held on Monday from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours on Monday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 A.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
