Obituary of Gail A. (Hunt) Adamson
Gail A. (Hunt) Adamson, 54, of Peabody, died Thursday at the Salem Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Thomas R. Adamson with whom she shared 22 years of marriage.
She was born in Malden on November 22, 1950, the daughter of Ronald and Alfreda (Buczko) Hunt and was raised in Salem before moving to Peabody 21 years ago.
She was a graduate of Salem High School in 1968 and was first employed with the John Hancock Co. at the Salem Office. She was then
Employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with the Dept of Revenue for 18 years prior to her retirement to be with her children.
She had been a teacher’ s aide at the
Samuel Brown School in Peabody. She loved to summer with her family near Boothbay Harbor in Maine, enjoyed cooking and caring for her family.
Surviving her besides her husband are her parents of Salem, a son, Thomas J. Adamson, and 2 daughters, Chrisitine and Kelly Ann Adamson all students at the Peabody Vets. Memorial High School of Peabody, a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald J. and Janice Hunt of Salem, NH, 3 brother-in-laws and their spouses, James and Helen Adamson of Winthrop, Robert and Wendy Adamson of Lynn and William and Terry Adamson of Peabody, her aunts and uncles, Sophie and Henry Theriault, Albert and Mary Ann Buczko and Ret. Judge Thaddeus Ted Buczko all of Salem, Richard and Irene Shea of Danvers, Marie Caldwell of Malden and Kathleen Judge of St. John, NB, Canada and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. from the
Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 9:00 am. Burial will be in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. A Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM
