Obituary of Elizabeth Saladino Mastone

Elizabeth (Saladino) Mastone, 82, died early Friday morning at her home following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Domenic Mastone. Born and raised in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore & Ignazia (Ippolito) Saladino. She had attended Chelsea Public Schools and was a graduate of Chelsea High School. She later moved to Revere and has been living in Peabody for the past 46 years. She had worked for 8 years at Chelsea City Hall in the Assessor’ s Office and later had worked for the Colonial Hilton Hotel as Executive Housekeeper for 16 years prior to her retirement in 1996. She was a member of the Italian Ladies Club of Peabody. She is survived by 2 sons, Joseph Mastone of Tewksbury, Victor Mastone of Peabody, a daughter Joanne Mercier of Newry, Me; a brother, Carmelo Saladino of Centerville; 6 sisters, Grace Saladino of Chelsea, Frances Strawn of Peackland, NC, Dorothy Wadland of Mansfield, Angelina Follis of Chelsea, Josephine Durham of Jensen Beach, Fla., and Hilda Fuccillo of Falmouth; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Frank Saladino and Mary Sicarello. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility (978) 531-0398, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’ s Church at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Visitation Tuesday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 AM.
