Obituary of Dolores (Brigley) Ketrelakes

Dolores Sissy (Brigley) Ketrelakes, 67, of Salem, died unexpectedly Saturday evening after being rushed to the Salem Hospital. She was the wife of Philip Ketrelakes with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. She was born and raised in Astoria, Long Island, New York, the daughter of the late Clifford and Nellie (Doull) Brigley and had resided in Peabody for 35 years before moving to Salem 16 years ago. She had been employed at the General Electric Co Aircraft engine division in Lynn for 24 years prior to a disability retirement 6 years ago. She enjoyed arts and crafts and recently won a trophy at the Elory Craft Fair in So. Carolina for her hats and crocheting. She also enjoyed playing Bingo. Surviving her besides her husband are a son, Philip H. Ketrelakes Jr. of Peabody, 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Diane and Robert Hannify-Broughton of Peabody and Kim Duby of Salem; 2 brothers, Ronald Brigley of Barberton, Ohio and Donald Brigley Of Peabody, 6 grandchildren, Philip H. Ketrelakes 3rd, Cheyenne Jackson, Brianne Hannify and Mica Hannify all of Peabody and Kenny Duby and Janea Duby both of Salem and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. A Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Relatives And friends are kindly invited.
