Obituary of Dena (Bastas) Tsoulas

Dena (Bastas) Tsoulas PEABODY—Dena (Bastas) Tsoulas, 78, beloved wife of the late George Tsoulas, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, July 27, 2010 at her home. Born in Kalamata, Greece, she was the daughter to the late Theodore and Barbara Bastas. She came to the United States in 1954, settling in Peabody where she lived for the last 56 years. Mrs. Tsoulas enjoyed her quiet role of nurturing family, spending time with her grandchildren, and cooking for family & friend gatherings. She was a member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody. She is survived by: two sons, Angelo & his wife Lorianne Tsoulas of Lynn and Theodore Tsoulas of Peabody; a daughter, Joyce & her husband Michael Meserve of Peabody; five grandchildren, Nicole, Cassandra, and Evan Tsoulas of Lynn, and Amy and Michael Meserve both of Peabody; a sister-in-law, Mrs. James (Effie) Tsoulas of Peabody; two sisters in Greece, and several nieces and nephews in Greece and here on the North Shore. Her funeral will be held on Saturday July 31, 2010 at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM in St. Vasilios Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Friday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
