Obituary of Obedes Duarte Da Silva

Obedes Duarte Da Silva, 53, of Peabody died peacefully Saturday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice Center in Danvers after a two and one half year battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Clarice (Morais) Da Silva. He was born in Galileia, Brazil on March 31, 1957, the son of Maria (Duarte) Da Silva and the late Aberone Da Silva and was raised there and resided in Brazil before moving to Malden, MA eleven years ago. He had resided in Peabody for the past seven years. He was a carpenter in the construction industry and was the proprietor of the TST Corp for the past five years. He was a co-pastor of the Revival Church for the Nation in Peabody which he helped establish and was most happy preaching and spreading the Word of the Gospel. Obedes enjoyed being with people and was truly loved by his family and congregation. He is survived by his wife Clarice of Peabody, his mother Maria of Brazil, his five daughters, Kenia Silva, Kelly Farias, Karine Silva, Kecia Magnus and Kamilah Silva all of Peabody, three grandchildren, Deborah and Benjamin Farias and Asafmael Banks, an expected grandson, Gavin Magnus, two brothers and two sisters of Brazil and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 until 9:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Revival Church for the Nation, 9 Main St., Peabody, Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
