Obituary of Maria M. (Rodrigues) Enes

Maria Madalana (Rodrigues) Enes, 92, of Peabody, died Tuesday evening surrounded by her family at her residence. She was the wife of the late Joao Pereira Enes who died in 2007. She was born in Terceira, Azores, Portugal on December 28, 1917, the daughter of the late Manuel Pereira and Maria Madalana (Cote) Rodrigues and had resided in Peabody for the past 40 years. She had been employed at the former Radison Ferncroft Motel in Danvers for over 4 years prior to her retirement. She liked sewing and cooking and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren as family meant so much to her. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Odete and her husband Porfirio Dinis of Peabody, her two grandsons, Luciano Dinis and Victor Dinis both of Peabody , her two cherished great grandchildren, Sara and Kayla Dinis both of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral will be held on Friday at 8:30 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
