Obituary of Leo P. Sullivan

Leo Patrick Sullivan, 78, formerly of Highland Park, Peabody, died early Tuesday morning at the Montserrat Nursing and Rehabilatation Home, Beverly after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Simone (Girard) Sullivan. He was born on October 29, 1924 in Peabody, the son of the late Patrick and Nora (Enright) Sullivan and was a graduate of Peabody High School . He had resided in Peabody most of his life before moving to Beverly 5 years ago. He had been employed with the former A.C. Lawrence Leather Co. of Peabody for thirty years until the plant closed. He then worked in the Maintenance Dept. of Beverly Hospital and later with the former Jordan Marsh Co. at the North Shore Mall until his retirement 12 years ago. He was a veteran of WW 11 serving with the U.S.Navy. He enjoyed doing yardwork and help raising his grandchldren. He is survived by two sons, Patrick and David Sullivan both of Peabody, a daughter, Maureen Santos of Saugus, a brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Phyllis Sullivan of Beverly, a sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Billy Cargile of Beverly; 3 grandchildren, Michael, Ryan and Stephen Santos all of Saugus and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Irene Rivard and Mary Valcour. His Funeral will be held on Friday at 8:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 9:00 a.m Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited
