Julie S. (Petrathelis) Cobb
PEABODY—Julie S. (Petrathelis) Cobb, died peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Sunday September 5, 2010 after a brief illness.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Bessie (Kostopoulos) Petrathelis, and was a lifelong resident of the city.
Ms. Cobb was an Oriental Dancer at several venues around the North Shore, and was a bartender at Penny’s, which is now the Courthouse Pub in Peabody.
She was a lifelong member at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody, a member of the Ladies Auxilliary of the V.F.W. in Peabody, and volunteered for numerous activities at the Tannery apartments in Peabody.
She is survived by: seven nieces and nephews, Kim Begin & her husband Roger of Georgetown, Wendy Daley & her husband James, Angele Petrathelis, Alycia Petrathelis, and William Dodge, David Tsaltas, and Tuesday Petrathelis all of Peabody; a long-time companion Jim McGrath of Peabody; a brother Paul Petrathelis and many great-nieces & great-nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by a sister Ethel Dodge, brother Manny Petrathelis, and a nephew Angelo Petrathelis.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Thursday September 9, 2010 from 9:30 to 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM. Cremation will follow the ceremony.
