Obituary of Anna R. (Cody) Mikulka

Anna (Cody) Mikulka Anna R. (Cody) Mikulka, 80, of Peabody, died early Wednesday morning at the Beverly Hospital following a long illness. She was the wife of Robert J. Mikulka . She was born in Malden, Ma on March 13, 1930, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna C. (Clark) Cody and was raised and resided in Peabody most of her life. She was a graduate of Peabody High School and had worked as a bartender and manager at many places on Route 1 and the North Shore and in Peabody Square prior to her retirement. Anna enjoyed going fishing and taking trips to Maine. She and her husband Bob were members of St. Michael’s Society in Peabody and the Polish, Lithuanian, Russian Club of Danvers. Family was very important to Anna as she was very devoted to them. She was the former wife of the late William Gaiko. Surviving her besides her husband are a daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and John Lessard of Lebanon, Maine, her cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Adrienne and Craig Lessard all of Maine and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Richard Gaiko and the sister of the late Charles Cody, Patricia Harris and Jacqueline Zolnierczyk. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
