Obituary of Elizabeth (Hahn) Acinapura
Elizabeth (Hahn) Acinapura, 88, of Peabody, MA and formerly of Union City and Paramus New Jersey, entered into rest after a long journey with Alzheimer’s diseases. She was the beloved wife of Frank Acinapura.
Born in Union City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Frances (Sweeney) Hahn. She was raised and educated in Union City and was a graduate of Emerson High School. She later lived in Paramus, NJ and Peabody, MA. For the last 3 years she has been lovingly cared for in Legacy at Woodbridge in Peabody.
Elizabeth worked as an accountant for over 25 years for Robert Main & Sons in Wyckoff, NJ before retiring in 1979. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed vacationing to Venice, Florida for over 20 years. She also enjoyed golfing, dancing, and gardening, but what she most especially enjoyed was spending time with her two grandsons.
Besides he loving husband Frank, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Rosalie Acinapura of NYC, NY, her daughter Beth Acinapura and Maria Juliano of Middleton, MA, her brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Marilyn Achinapura of NJ, and Moira Achinapura of Del Ray, Florida, her two beloved grandsons, Gabe and his wife Liz Acinapura of Chicago, and Micah Acinapura of Brooklyn, NY and by several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday September 15, 2010 at 1:00 PM at St. Agnes Church, Middleton to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Legacy at Woodbridge, 240 Lynnfield St., Peabody, MA 01960.
