Obituary of William P. Noonan
PEABODY-William Noonan, 83, of 727 Lowell St., beloved husband of Dorothy (Torrey) Noonan, died Monday at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home in Peabody.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Martin and Mary Noonan. He lived in Lynn in his youth, and attended Lynn public schools.
Mr. Noonan was a veteran of World War II, with service in the United States Coast Guard.
He worked as a Tool & Dye Maker at General Electric for 39 years until his retirement 22 years ago.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) Post in Saugus, and loved woodworking, furniture construction, and cabinetry.
He is survived by: his wife, Dorothy ( Torrey) Noonan of Peabody; two brothers; James Noonan of Lynn and Martin Noonan of Saugus; one sister, Mary Le Blanc of Lynn, and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Ceremony will be held on Thursday at 11 A.M. in the Cahill-Brodeur facility at 20 Church St. (978.531.0472) of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
