Obituary of Dora Rita (LeBlanc) McCulley

Dora R. (LeBlanc) McCulley PEABODY—Dora R. (LeBlanc) McCulley, 86, beloved wife of the late Robert E. McCulley, died peacefully on Friday afternoon October 1, 2010 at the Hunt Retirement and Skilled Nursing Center in Danvers, following a long illness. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Philias and Bertha (Copp) LeBlanc. She grew up in Newington, CT where she attended schools. She later moved to Saugus and Lynn where she lived for a short period of time, and lived in Peabody for nearly 20 years. Mrs. McCulley was employed with Hot Watt Company in Danvers as an assembler before retiring in the mid-1980’s. Dora was active and a volunteer with the Peabody Council on Aging and the Torigian Community Life Center in Peabody. She enjoyed sewing and was a member of the Sewing Club, and the local chapter of AARP. She enjoyed living a quiet life of simplicity with her family and friends. She is survived by: a son and daughter-in-law, Robert H. & Mary J. McCulley of Manchester, NH; a daughter, Dianne McCulley of Danvers; three grandchildren, Scott Paszkowski and Jeffrey & his wife Kari Paszkowski both of Peabody, and Rachel Etzel of CO; three great-grandchildren, Kiersten and Kody Paszkowksi of Peabody and Jacob Etzel of CO, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by brothers John, Benedict, and Roy LeBlanc, and sisters Beatrice Saulnier and Theresa LeBlanc. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 – 7 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather at the funeral home at 9 AM on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody. Burial will be in St. Jean’s Cemetery, Lynn. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
