Obituary of Norma Louise Russell
. Norma Louise Russell, 80, of Peabody, died Sunday evening at the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home in Salem following a lengthy illness.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Evelyn (Ramsdell) Russell. She was a life long resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School.
Norma worked as a welder for GTE Sylvania in Danvers for over 40 years before retiring many years ago. Norma enjoyed gardening, loved her cats, and also sang in the choir at the South Congregational Church in Peabody as well.
She is survived by a brother, Leonard Russell of Salem, a sister-in-law, Jeanne Russell of Chelsea, and by her nieces and nephews, Charles Benjamin Russell, Emily Davekos, and Evelyn Fessenden, and is also by several grand nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alvin, Francis, Jr., and Herbert Russell.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 12:00 Noon at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home 82 Lynn St,, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Burial will be in Holten Cemetery, Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970, or Hospice of the North Shore 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923
