Obituary of Christo F. Harris

Christo F. Harris, 81, of Pulaski St., Peabody, died early Sunday morning at the Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Stella (Gerakaris) Harris with whom he shared over 54 years of marriage. Born and raised in Peabody, he was the son of the late Frank & Georgia (Smyrnios) Harris. He was a life long resident of the city and had attended Peabody Public Schools. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army. He had worked for over 40 years at the former AC Lawrence Co., in Peabody as a leather worker prior to retiring 20 years ago. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved playing golf. Besides his wife of 54 years, he is survived by a daughter, Georgia Harris of Peabody; 2 brothers, Nick Harris of Peabody, and Hercules Harris of Londonderry, NH, and a niece Sandra Barnes of West Newbury. He was the brother of the late Mary Psuik. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility (978) 531-0398, followed by Funeral Services in St. Vasilios Church at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
