Obituary of Dolores E. (Girouard) Wilson
Dolores E. (Girouard) Wilson, 83, of Peabody and formerly on Malden and Medford, died Monday evening at the Pilgrim Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late David E. Wilson.
Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Mildred (Blake) Girouard. She was raised and educated in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. She continued her education at the Malden Hospital School of Nursing and Boston College. She later graduated from the School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse at Malden Hospital.
She was a loving and devoted mother who was involved with many activities with her husband, especially the Massachusetts Special Olympics, and also was a member of Bay State African Violet Society.
Dolores is survived by her daughter, Dawn Garrity of West Simsbury, CT, and by her four grandchildren, Steven and Douglas Garrity, Lauren Bagley, and Heather Russo. She was the sister of the late Carol Ann Girouard
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
