Obituary of Janet C. (Kisilowsky) Pizza

Janet C. (Kisilowsky) Pizza PEABODY—Janet C. (Kisilowsky) Pizza, 84, beloved wife of the late Eugene T. Pizza, died unexpectedly on Saturday morning at the North Shore Medical Center—Salem Hospital in Salem after a brief illness. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Katherine (Hrycenko) Kisilowsky. She grew up in the West End of Boston, and graduated from Boston Girls High School. She lived most or her youth in Boston, then moved to Everett when she was married. She lived in Peabody for the last 51 years. Mrs. Pizza worked as an office clerk with the Recording & Statistical Company of Boston, located in North Station at the former Boston Garden for several years after graduating school. Her most prized time was nurturing her family of five boys, and cherished family gatherings with family and longtime close friends and neighbors. She was a parish member of St. Adelaide’s Church in West Peabody for years. She is survived by: five sons, Paul & Barbara Pizza of Peabody, James & Brenda Pizza of Georgetown, Neal & Amy Pizza of Middleton, Tom & Peggy Pizza of Dracut, and Bob Piza of Peabody; seven grandchildren, Jacqueline Piza of Peabody, Jill Pizza of Dracut, Bradford Piza of Peabody, Jared Pizza of Georgetown, Kasey Pizza of Dracut, Joshua Pizza and Benjamin Pizza, both of Middleton; a sister, Anne Simmons of Middleton, and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Adelaide’s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Susan G.
