Obituary of Elizabeth "Betty (Killoran) Caires

Elizabeth "Betty" L. Caires (née Killoran), 68, formerly of Beverly, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010 in Lakeland, Florida. She was the devoted wife of the late Frank Caires. Born in Lynn on July 30, 1942, she was the daughter of the late James and Florence (née Godfrey) Killoran. Betty grew up in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1960. She was a teacher's assistant at the Clark School for Creative Learning in Danvers. Betty moved from Beverly to Lakeland, Fla. in 2006. She is survived by her son, Lt. Greg A. Caires, USN, and his wife Jennifer (née Kelley) of Fairfax, VA, her loving grandchildren, Griffyn, Elijah, and Sophia Caires, and her beloved twin sister, Maryann Paine of Lakeland, FL. She was the sister of the late Jean Raftelis and Patricia Pierce. Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
