Obituary of Aiko Y Lathrop

Aiko Y. Lathrop, 75, of Peabody, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 after a long illness. Born in Okinawa, Japan, she was the daughter of the late Minuri and Yoshi Yamada. She has lived and raised her family in Peabody for the past 35 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She will be dearly missed. She leaves her children, Brent T. Lathrop and his fiancé Candice Berman of Salem, Cliff Lathrop of Peabody, and Brian and his wife Laura Lathrop of Salem, her sisters, Emiko and Hideko, both of Japan, and is also survived by her four grandchildren, Jared, Marissa, Kiley, and Jett, and by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Taro Yamada of Japan. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 100 R Cedar Grove Ave, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Parkinson Disease Assoc., Boston Medical Center, 720 Harrison Ave, Suite 707, Boston, MA 02118.
