Obituary of Mary V. (Dobbs) Loiko - Ryan

Mary V. Loiko-Ryan, 84, of Cheyenne, WY, and formerly of Peabody, died Thursday May 19, 2005 after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Mark John Ryan. Born in Moody County, South Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ella Dobbs. During WWII, she worked at South Dakota State College and at the airbase in Sioux Falls, SD, where she met her husband, Eddie Loiko. Upon marrying her husband, she lived in Peabody until his death in 1981. They were both very active in area square dance clubs. She also worked for many years at Addison Wesley Longman until her retirement in 1986. After her husband’ s death, she married Mark John Jack Ryan, on November 27, 1988 in Peabody. They lived in Belle Gardens, California for a short period of time before settling in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Besides her loving husband Jack, Mary is survived by a sister-in-law, Marge Dobbs of Madison, SD and 14 nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Vincent, Eugene, Lawrence, and Margaret Dobbs. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Monday, August 8, 2005 at 1:00 PM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility. Interment will be in the Family lot in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
