Obituary of Henry W Konica

Henry W. Konica, 92, of Norwood and formerly of Lynn and Peabody, died early Saturday evening at the Ellis Nursing Center in Norwood following a brief illness. Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Andrew and Josephine (Zagac) Konica. He was raised and educated in Lawrence, later lived in Lynn for twenty years and then Peabody, and has spent the last year living in Norwood. Henry was a veteran of World War II who served with the United States Army and was honorably discharged in December 1945. After the war, he went back to work for General Electric in Lynn where he resumed his 50 year career at GE building jet engines and retired in 1978. He is survived by two nieces, Sandra Yavuz of Turkey and Marcia Cardinale of Dedham, and by his dear friend Rose Henderson of Lynn
